COMMENTS:

If not for some mechanical problems, Joey could of finished even better.  "Power steering went, and during the day we blew a transmission in practice and just got that changed in time".   Joey will be racing Wednesday night if all goes fine with the car.

COMMENTS:

Despite finishing eighth in his first event. Joey was nothing but smiles at the end of the night, despite getting into the wall pretty hard during practice, (Part came off the steering).  That accident forced him to miss qualifying and start the event in the back of the pack. "It was definitely the most exciting 25 laps I've ever  run," said Joey. "There was stuff going on everywhere. I think I almost got in a about three different wrecks. These guys have a different mentality out there compared to what I'm used to. "They are rough. They will boot you in practice. There was a guy that came up and bumped me in practice. I was like "whoa." I guess I got to play by their rules.   "My first modified race was an adventure for sure. It was sick out there. I learned a lot about these guys and how they run. They were even trying to pass me under caution. We were three wide at one point." Joey will be racing tonight (Monday) he will be going day to day over race week.
